Description

As a duck carver and artist, one would expect me to have an extensive collection of hand carved and painted calls right.  This is what I do, sure.  Not the case as I was always running behind or short on finishing orders.  This spectacular one was made for my late father in law. As I became its caretaker by default, it is one of the very few carved and painted call I possess. You get the idea I love the mallards, and it’s true.  The calls through this period are having more form, plus starting to take on more of a life like movement.  The time period between 1976 and 1985 is when I made a vast majority of the hand carved and hand painted calls like this one.
