As a call maker, many people would think they hunt with the most ornately decorated hunting call they make.  Going back to my roots, i turn to my most trusted, tried and proven duck hunting calls.  Fancy ones hardly, classics, yes! The model d-502 was the most popular and successful call “marshland” made in its line.  The d-502 cherrywood call, from the highball to its comeback call, feeding chatter and the lonesome hen call, all were unsurpassed in the natural sounding quality of the hen mallard.  These two-old tired, weathered and worn “marshland” d-502s, along with an old used and abused single “heritage” duck call are still in use pursuing wildfowl and getting the job done to this grand day!
